CG CAE was born in 2013 from an idea of his founder, Dr. Ing. Claudio Gianini, after more than 20 years of experience in Structural Design and Finite Element Analysis in different high tech industrial fields, such as Formula One.
The creation of a consultancy company was a natural evolution of Claudio’s professional path, and we now provide high level consulting services in the simulation of the thermo-structural behaviour of complex mechanical assemblies. The many years spent in Motorsport (Formula One, WEC) trained us to work under pressure while still delivering high quality simulations in time for strategical decisions: the only way to succeed.
Deep Engineering background, strong capabilities in Solid Mechanics and knowledge of all the commonly used commercial software (such as ABAQUS, ANSYS and NASTRAN) allow us to effectively tackle any kind of thermal and structural problem: thermal steady-state and transient, structural static linear elastic, non linear elastic (large deformations and contacts), elastic-plastic, dynamic (implicit and explicit) analyses can be successfully performed by our engineers, as we can count on more than 70 years overall experience.
We can use the results of our simulations to perform special tasks, such as fatigue strength checks, and push our calculations to the limit by simulating bonded joint failures, damage initiation and propagation in both metal and composite materials.
Knowledge of high tech materials, such as Metal Matrix Composites (MMC), high strength (HS) and high modulus (HM) carbon reinforced plastics is part of our DNA, together with the ability to deal with elastomeric materials. We can optimize any type of structure to meet the Client’s needs, whether they be structural strength, mass reduction or stiffness increase, by using the Topological, Shape and Size approaches or any combination of them.
